Sunshine Radio 1 is being designed as a fresh alternative to conventional BBC and commercial hit music radio.
Energetic presenters will keep the station flowing 24 hours a day, without endless shout-outs, cash-call competitions, pointless DJ waffle or painfully long commercial breaks.
The emphasis will always be on the music.
Sunshine Radio 1 is expected to focus initially on listening through Amazon™ Alexa™ smart speakers and the Amazon™ Alexa™ app.
Over time, the station is also intended to become available on DAB or DAB+ in selected parts of the UK.
International versions of Sunshine Radio 1 are planned for a later stage.

Sunshine Radio 2 is expected to focus initially on listening through Amazon™ Alexa™ smart speakers and the Amazon™ Alexa™ app.
Over time, it is also intended to become available on DAB or DAB+ in selected parts of the UK and through selected radio listening platforms.
International versions of Sunshine Radio 2 are planned for a later stage.
Sunshine Radio Cyprus was a wonderful English-language radio station that broadcast in Cyprus from 2014 until 2020.

Sunshine Radio Cyprus became hugely popular with local listeners and visitors to the island.
It was also listened to online by hundreds of thousands of people in the United Kingdom and other countries, many of whom first discovered the station while visiting Cyprus and continued listening after returning home.
Many old websites, radio directories and “listen now” pages still contain information and links relating to Sunshine Radio Cyprus or 90.8 FM Sunshine Radio.
That information is now out of date.
Sunshine Radio Cyprus and 90.8 FM Sunshine Radio no longer broadcast.
The former Cyprus station should not be confused with the new Sunshine Radio 1 and Sunshine Radio 2 services being developed for the United Kingdom.
However, the warm, upbeat and varied sound of Sunshine Radio Cyprus will be strongly reflected in the programming of Sunshine Radio 2, and both Sunshine Radio 1 and Sunshine Radio 2 will be available on smart speakers in Cyprus in due course*

Yes. The Amazon™ Alexa™ app is available free of charge for compatible iPhone and Android devices.
It provides another simple way to listen to Sunshine Radio 1 and Sunshine Radio 2 without needing a separate smart speaker.
Sunshine Radio 1 and Sunshine Radio 2 may become available on compatible Google smart speakers through selected third-party radio platforms and radio-player services.

However, the version of each station a listener receives will depend on their country and other relevant factors.

Many websites and radio directories continue to publish outdated information and “listen now” links for Sunshine Radio Cyprus, also known as 90.8 FM Sunshine Radio or Sunshine Radio Paphos. Many of these listings are confusing.
We confirm that Sunshine Radio Cyprus was one of our partners. We provided the branding and programming concepts for Sunshine Radio Ltd (HE 306929), the company that held the official CRTA (Cyprus Radio and Television Authority) broadcasting licence for Sunshine Radio Cyprus.
We also created the station’s main website, online streams and social media channels, including its official Facebook page.
Sadly, this wonderful radio station ceased broadcasting in 2020 and is therefore no longer available on FM in Cyprus or online.
However, the warm, upbeat and varied sound of Sunshine Radio Cyprus will be strongly reflected in Sunshine Radio 2 in the United Kingdom. We are also working on a version of Sunshine Radio 2 that will be available through smart speakers in Cyprus.
There remains the possibility that Sunshine Radio could return to the airwaves of Cyprus in the years ahead if DAB or DAB+ broadcasting opportunities become available and the appropriate broadcasting licences can be obtained.
We do not expect the station ever to return to FM, as FM is becoming an increasingly inefficient way to provide new radio services.
